Wheat State Manor, Inc. has a tremendous heritage of love and caring. Nine churches, two in Whitewater, two in Potwin and five from neighboring communities worked together to make the vision of providing a nursing care home a reality. An article in the Newton Kansas newspaper (1973) quoted the Rev. Alfred H. Bartter, pastor of the Federated Church, as saying: The proposed home is uniting churches and citizens as nothing before has been able to do!
Our story is an illustration of love in action. At Wheat State, we care for the whole person. We value our Christian heritage, serve our residents with love, and provide opportunities for spiritual growth and comfort.
The mission of Wheat State Manor, Inc. is to be a community healthcare resource commissioned by the owner churches to meet the needs of its residents and their families and to serve the residents of Whitewater and the surrounding communities.

Thank you for taking such good care of my parents. I am very blessed by the care they have been given. I know now that my dad has passed, that you will continue to provide the best care possible.
